LONDON, June 26 (UPI) -- Ron Howard's big-screen adaptation of Peter Morgan's stage drama "Frost/Nixon" is to open the Times BFI London Festival this fall, organizers said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Variety.com said the movie -- about a 1977 encounter between former U.S. President Richard Nixon and British journalist David Frost -- is to premiere at the festival Oct. 15 before it opens in U.S. theaters Dec. 5.

Frank Langella and Michael Sheen reprise the roles they played on the West End and Broadway in the film, the entertainment industry trade paper said.

Langella plays Nixon and Sheen plays Frost in the movie, which was directed by Howard and co-stars Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, Sam Rockwell and Toby Jones.
