TORONTO, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Canadian gasoline prices dropped as much as 43 cents a gallon Tuesday.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Prices fell the most in Toronto, down to $102.9 a liter, or $3.89 a gallon, from Monday's $1.14 a liter, or $4.32 a gallon, the gasoline price Web site gasbuddy.com reported.

In Calgary, Alberta, gasoline sold for about $1.08 a liter, or $4.09 a gallon, down from about $1.16 a liter, or $4.39 a gallon, gasbuddy.com said.

Montreal gas prices were about $1.14 a liter, or $4.32 a gallon, down from about $1.21 a liter, or $4.59 a gallon.

In Halifax, Nova Scotia, gasoline sold for about $116.9 a liter, or about $4.43 a gallon, down from about $1.23 a liter, or $4.66 a gallon, Monday.

Vancouver, British Columbia, prices were $120.9 a liter, or about $4.58 a gallon, down from about $1.23 a liter, or $4.66 a gallon.

Crude oil prices Tuesday rose $1.86 a barrel, or 1.93 percent, to $98.23 a barrel in late morning trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices sank $10.52, or 9.8 percent, to settle at $96.36 on the exchange Monday.
