LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Keith Urban's publicist says the New Zealand-born country music star is suffering from a slipped disc.

His representative, Paul Freundlich, confirmed to People.com that Urban was diagnosed with the injury but declined to comment on what had caused it.

Freundlich also told People.com the medical problem shouldn't affect Urban's touring schedule.

Urban and his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, recently celebrated the birth of Sunday Rose, their first child together.

Kidman also has two teenage children she adopted during her marriage to actor Tom Cruise.
