| ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A suicide bombing near Peshawar in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province has killed at least three people and injured 37. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS Some of those injured in Friday's attack were critically hurt, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported. One source told the news agency that five people were dead. The attack at the Kohat Tunnel was the second in the province in two days. On Thursday, 10 police officers were killed when their van was attacked in Bannu. A government official suggested that Friday's attack was retaliation for the arrest of a suspected Taliban leader and two of his associates Thursday. News accounts said the driver failed to obey an order to halt, was shot and then blew up his car. The tunnel has checkpoints at both ends. Another bombing Friday near a bakery in Surab left at least five people seriously injured. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Related News Topics:
