| KABUL, Afghanistan, June 15 (UPI) -- Military officials say the search for hundreds of escaped Taliban militants in Afghanistan has left 15 insurgents dead and led to the capture of five more. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The officials didn't say Sunday whether the captured militants were among those who escaped from a Kandahar prison in a Friday jailbreak involving an estimated 400 inmates, CNN reported. The 15 said by U.S. officials to be killed in an air strike were shooting at troops from a farming compound. Meanwhile, military commanders vowed to keep up the search for the escaped Taliban prisoners. Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Sunday the jailbreak showed the challenges his country still faces.
