FARAH, Afghanistan, June 14 (UPI) -- Military officials said four U.S. soldiers were killed and another was seriously wounded in Afghanistan Saturday in a roadside bomb blast.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The incident happened during a combat operation in Farah province in the southwestern part of the country, CNN reported.

Meanwhile, two British paratroopers killed in Helmand province earlier this week have been identified as Lance Cpl. James Bateman, 29, and Pvt. Jeff Doherty, 20, both of whom died Thursday in a Taliban ambush, The Times of London reported.

"They died doing what they had been asked to do, operating in difficult country against a dangerous enemy", Lt. Col. Joe O'Sullivan said.
