ADEN, Yemen, April 21 (UPI) -- A small boat off Yemen attacked a Japanese oil tanker early Monday, the ship's owner said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The tanker Takayama was struck by an unidentified projectile but was not damaged and no one aboard was hurt, Nippon Yusen said.

Officials of the company that owns the tanker said the attack occurred 275 miles west of Aden shortly before dawn. The Takayama was en route from South Korea to Saudi Arabia.

The New York Times said news of the incident contributed to a brief rise in world oil prices early Monday.
