NABLUS, West Bank, July 4 (UPI) -- Jewish settlers allegedly attacked a West Bank village with mortars and rockets in an attempt to control a section of grazing land, villagers say.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

Residents of the village of Burin have alleged the Israeli settlers have begun setting fires and attacking their homes, Ynetnews reported Friday.

"We shepherds are afraid to go out on our own to the fields for fear of being attacked", Abu Morasi alleged. "The settlers kill a goat or a sheep from time to time without any Israeli authoritative body stopping them."

The 57-year-old Burin native said while police and Israeli officials have become involved in the land conflict, little has been done to control the Jewish settlers.

"Today officials from the Civil Administration and the police arrived and tried to clear the settlers from the area, but they left without warning the settlers, and seconds later the settlers continued firing into the air and we threw stones at one another", he told Ynetnews.
