RAMALLAH, West Bank, June 7 (UPI) -- The Palestinian party Fatah is prepared for presidential elections and has chosen Mahmoud Abbas as its candidate, Palestinian negotiator Ahmad Quraie said.

SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS

The leading Palestinian negotiator Saturday said talks with Israel were in a "difficult phase" because of concerns regarding refugees, Jerusalem and border demarcation, KUNA reported.

Quraie's comments came on his trip to Tobas in the West Bank, the report said.

Quraie added that Abbas was taking part in efforts to reopen Hamas-Fatah negotiations, claiming division benefited only Israeli interests.
