| ANKARA, Turkey, May 2 (UPI) -- Turkish warplanes flew into northern Iraq Friday on a raid of suspected bases of Kurdish rebels, officials said. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS The strikes targeted bases of the Workers Party of Kurdistan, also known as PKK, in mountainous areas along the Iraq-Turkey border, reported KUNA, the Kuwaiti news agency. Friday's raid was the latest by the Turkish army against the rebel group, which advocates establishing a separate Kurdish state. The Turkish air force last week engaged in several strike on suspected PKK bases.
