| TOKYO, May 25 (UPI) -- Japanese Environment Minister Ichiro Kamoshita said Sunday he advocates a global initiative to cut greenhouse emissions in half by 2050. SAVE MONEY ON TRAVEL DEALS Kamoshita told world leaders at a three-day environmental conference of G8 countries and the European Union he would push the initiative at the G8 summit in July, the Kyodo News Agency reported Sunday. "I hope that this goal will constitute a shared vision among the participating countries to the G8 (summit) this year", he said. The environment minister said he hoped China, the United States, India and the European Union would back the initiative.
