The incident happened in the mainly Kurdish city of Mosul, al-Sumaria Iraqi Satellite TV reported.

The broadcaster also said Iraqi security forces have arrested 23 suspected terrorists in Karbala. Among them where three escaped militia leaders loyal to radical Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr. Al-Sumaria said the captured fighters had escaped from Diwaniya, Nassiriya and Amara.

Meanwhile, the broadcaster said five U.S. Senate Democrats are requesting an investigation into the electricity network at U.S. installations in Iraq after at least 10 soldiers were electrocuted.
